What is meant by green procurement?
Green procurement describes an award of a contract that takes account of environmental and social aspects and is in accordance with section 97 (3) of the German Act against Restraints of Competition (GWB). Thus, public clients can directly influence sustainability and the environment.
“Sustainable procurement” is often used synonymously with “green procurement”.
