What is meant by framework contracts in the context of public procurement?
A framework contract sets out key aspects (time frame, estimated quantities, payment conditions, etc.) of the cooperation with one or several suppliers. If there are several suppliers for one framework contract, a “mini competition” must be established between these. Once the defined duration of a framework contract has ended, a new tender is required.
