RoHS stands for Restriction of Hazardous Substances and refers to the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. The aim of RoHS is to protect human health and the environment by avoiding the use of six substances — heavy metals and brominated flame retardants/plasticizers.
