What is a prior information notice in the context of public tendering?
The prior information notice is an announcement in advance of the actual tendering procedure covering all of the intended contract awards of a contracting authority within a financial year. To allow shorter tender periods, it must be published at least 52 days but a maximum of 12 months before the contract notice is submitted.
